Greece as the Honoured Country
On September 29 2021, the Consular Corps of the Province of Liège organised its Annual Gala dinner at the Palace of Princes-Évêques with Greece as this year’s Honoured Country, on the occasion of the Bicentenary of the Greek Revolution.
The Gala was attended by the President of the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy in Belgium Ms Maria Nerantzaki, the Ambassador of Greece to Belgium HE Dionyssios Kalamvrezos, the Honorary Consul of Greece for Wallonia Mr Robert Laffineur, the Governor of the Province of Liège Hervé Jamar, the Deputy President Luc Gillard, the Rector of the University of Liège Prof. Pierre Wolper, the Consular Corps of the Province of Liège and Ambassadors to Belgium.
The Ambassador of Greece to Belgium HE Dionyssios Kalamvrezos delivered the keynote speech on "The Hellenic Revolution of 1821 and the parallel paths of Belgium and Greece".
